Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing overall administrative and construction support for our Project Management team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist project manager with project planning, coordination, and scheduling
• Prepare project budget and track material, production, and project costs
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare and issue subcontractor contracts
• Prepare project schedule
• Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services
• Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
• Monitor project progress and assist with updates to budgets, timelines, and other project documents
• Maintain and organize project-related paperwork, including permit applications, change orders, drawings, submittals, etc.
• Preparation of Owner/Maintenance/Warranty Manual
• Help to ensure construction site safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline preferred, but not required
• Can be a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience that is equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
• Professional and tactful demeanor with ability to interact effectively with owners, subcontractors and vendors
• Knowledge of construction technology a plus but not required
JOB TYPE: Full-time (40 hours per week) onsite
PAY:$45,000+ commensurate with experience
